We are fully aware that today (January 2024) many Western embassies and organizations are advising against travel to Ethiopia due to political instability and some ongoing conflicts in the north of the country (Amhara region). Much of the information provided by these organizations has little basis in reality. There is not a single case of tourists being involved in dangerous situations.
