Day 1

Discovering Lalibela’s Hidden Marvels

Embark on a journey from Addis Ababa to Lalibela, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its 12th-century Rock-Hewn churches, often regarded as the eighth wonder of the world.

Explore the mesmerizing Biete Medhane Alem, recognized as the world’s largest monolithic church, and navigate the intricate system of trenches to reach Biete Giyorgis, the renowned isolated structure. The connecting tunnels, adorned with religious symbols, provide a unique insight into Lalibela’s rich history.

Visit the first group of four churches, followed by a 45 km drive to Yemrehanna Kristos, an 11th-century church built within a cave, revealing astonishing contents. Conclude the day with a delightful dinner at the distinctive Ben Abeba restaurant, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

Day 2

Monastery Exploration and Traditional Ethiopian Experience
