Day 1

Addis Ababa Unveiled

Upon your arrival, our warm staff will extend a heartfelt welcome and transfer you to your hotel. The capital city of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa, holds a fascinating city tour for you to explore. Founded in 1886 by Menelik II, Addis Ababa, meaning “New Flower” in Amharic, sits at an elevation of 2,500 meters above sea level.

Blessed with a delightful climate year-round, boasting jacaranda-lined avenues, captivating museums, and Africa’s expansive open-air market, the “Merkato,” the city invites you to discover its charm. Depending on your energy levels after your long-haul flight, a city tour can be arranged to showcase the city’s vibrant facets.

Day 2

Flight to Bahir Dar – Lake Tana Discovery

Embark on a morning flight to Bahir Dar, commencing our tour with a boat trip on Lake Tana, Africa’s second-largest lake. Among its 37 islands, 30 house churches and monasteries of historical and cultural significance.

Explore Ura Kidane Mehret, a circular 16th-century church adorned with mural paintings, crowns, and crosses.

In the afternoon, drive to the majestic Blue Nile Falls, locally known as Tissisat, where the 100m-wide cascade plunges 45m, creating ethereal steam clouds and rainbows. Conclude the day with a scenic sunset over Lake Tana.

Day 3

Gondar Exploration – A Glimpse of Camelot
